Amber Fintech has been an Alliance Partner of Access Bank South Africa Ltd since 2003. Amber Fintech is an authorised distribution channel of the Bank, under the Bank’s Authorised Services license, FSP 5865.

 

Amber Fintech has the required regulatory approvals to provide outsourced banking services, under the license of the Bank, which include the likes of core banking, transaction processing, internet and mobile banking platforms as per GN5/2014

Our goal is to provide our partners with the best tailor made co-brand bank cards, mobile wallets, and prepaid cards that is compliant and easy to issue to service their customers.

We partnered with Boland Bank to do transaction acquiring. 

1998 - 2001.

New partnership with Saambou Bank. Amber focused on Card Issuing and later transaction acquiring.

1999 - 2002.
2003.

Initial CBS of Amber Fintech went into production by migrating all bank accounts from Saambou.

2003 - present.

New alliance with Access Bank. 
Complete banking functionality.

Integrated with Windows based QuickMoney
- WAN branch based system
- Enable branches to service clients remotely

2006 - 2008.

EDO Payment system development. Represented Access Bank at BankServe and PASA in technical work groups.

2004.

Signed a co-brand partnership with WIZZIT. All WIZZIT bank account migrated to Amber Fintech's CBS.

2014.
2014 - 2020.

Debicheck: Represented Access Bank at BankServe and PASA in technical work groups for the 1st three years.

Initial version of Amber Fintech's client on boarding system released.

2015.

Signed a co-brand partnership with mediBucks, a medical savings account that uniquely process behind the counter medical payments.

2016.

Digital Client on boarding released
- AmberAgent - mobile app

EMV Chip Card technology developed and implemented.
